Young golfer repeats ‘Always have fun – never give up” to stay calm and focused during event
It is so awesome to see my mantra being used to inspire the younger generation to reach their goals!! Summer’s Dad shared her photos and the story of how she repeated, ‘Always have fun and never give up” during a recent golf tournament.
Here is how her Dad explained it, “This past weekend my daughter, Summer won her second Hawaii State Junior Golf tournament at the Kapalua Bay Course here on Maui.On the final day, behind by 3 strokes, she shot an “eagle” on the 15th; par-5 hole. She then won 2 of the final 3 holes to win by 2.
I’ve quoted theConnor Baxter mantra to her to “always have fun and never give up”. She keeps that in mind as she plays. We’re so proud she kept her spirits up and had a positive attitude to pull it off. She now qualifies for the Tournament of Champions in December!”
